After getting MAXMSP to generate some tones to the d with no problem, I tried inputting a m through pfft~ through gizmo~ to so a simple pih shift as outlined in the msp manual, then out to the d. There is no diernable pih shift -- it sounds like the original signal. If I break any of theonntions along the signal path, the signal stops, so it appears to be flowing through my pah, but there is no pih shifting.I tried repling the pfft~ -> fftin~ -> gizmo~ -> fftout~ subpah with a simple freqshift~ up at the top level beteen the a and d, and this likewise has no diernable efft.On the other hand, if I insert a lores~ filter, it definitely filters cording to theutoff freq. So, my signal path is being used, but it seems like no pih shifting or frequeey shifting works. Ihked the DSP IO settings, they seem OK. Any suggestions for a newbie to MAXMSP? This is MAXMSP 4.6.
